Tools of the Trade- Part 3 – Marketing
How do I get more clients?! This has to be the #1 question I get all the time from students of iLiveWell Business Academy and in the Fearless Practitioner group. Over the years I have written a ton of post about marketing and we are even kicking off out a brand new course on marketing. In today’s blog post I want to share a few of the tools in the marketing world that have helped me to take my practice to the next level. Also, if you are wanting to learn even more about marketing you can join the list of our new course HERE.
Online Directories
Just like Google, there are a few online directories that you can be listed on. Why being on an online directory is a good idea, is these companies have a more powerful search capacity. That means when a client is searching for a provider in their area these websites pop up and clients search inside there. Here is a list of a few that really have been amazing. The first one, I can’t even tell you how many clients we have gotten from it!!
Have you been asking for reviews from clients? It can be super awkward I know, and it makes a HUGE difference in how high up on Google your practice shows up. It can be a simple email to new or old clients asking for a review. Don’t overthink it! Most clients adore you and are happy to share that.
- Google reviews for your listing
- Yelp reviews for your listing
- Facebook reviews for your companies profile
Email Marketing System
In this section, I am not talking about what email server you use. I am talking about email marketing systems. There are a few out there and all about the same in function so don’t get hung up about which one to choose. Pick one that fits your budget and feels good. What we are going to chat about is the what and why email marketing is so important.
First, we want to collect all your client’s emails and enter them into the system. The reason is it will give you a central location to communicate and connect with all your client. Second, using a system allows you to share more with your clients. You can share recipes, books, recommendations on topics, anything. By providing value to your clients monthly in a newsletter you will be surprised on what can come from this.
Lastly, develop a plan of what you plan to share in the newsletters and how often you plan to send them out. We go into all this much deeper in my new course. If you would like to learn about the course and sign up click HERE!
